Lisa Wornham with Red Rose Painting

Art is my passion! My earliest memories are of me standing at my easel painting; one of my most vivid memories is of my first painting of my Dad's boat, Nepenthe. Whether I was doodling in pencil or painting at my easel, I have always been happiest when I'm lost in the creative process.

As a lifelong student of Art, from preschool to my college days at the University of San Diego, I have always enjoyed expressing myself through Art; from sketching in pencil & ink to painting. I've always been most passionate about painting in acrylic and currently I'm enjoying digital illustrations for children and watercolors, as well.

I have always drawn inspiration from the positive impact Art has on our lives, from creating to observing. Art makes us feel good! Currently, I'm drawn to animal characters, nature, flowers and chocolate. Please visit my creative website at to see all of my art.

I believe Art is also incredibly therapeutic and healing. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist & Registered Play Therapist I have found Art to be a wonderful way to engage and help children of all ages express their feelings in fun and healthy ways. In 2000 I merged my passions of Art and Therapy to create Bright Spots Games.

Bright Spots Games are a line of vividly illustrated card and matching games used as playful tools in therapy. I am fortunate to have been recognized as a Wonder Women in Toys – Women to Watch by Women in Toys Organization and Playthings Magazine.

They say nature is healing, I believe creating & enjoying an artistic depiction of nature is healing as well.

Thank you for visiting.

Enjoy!  Lisa
